Youth Parliament condemns Israeli violence against Palestinians

ISLAMABAD, Dec 31 (APP): Youth Parliament of Pakistan Wednesday condemned the indiscriminate violence against the Palestinians in the Gaza strip and urged the International Community and the UN to ask Israel halt such barbaric acts of violence.

The house, which met here for its second session unanimously accepted a resolution moved by Waqar Nayyar,(YP05‑Balochistan03), condemning Israel’s aggression against innocent citizens of Palestine.
The Parliament in another resolution demanded setting up of a multi‑party committee inside Pakistan for probing the murder case of Benazir Bhutto.

Another resolution was also moved in the Parliament, asking the government to take measures for de‑escalating the war hysteria besides sending a tough message to the Indian government.
The Prime Minister of the Youth Parliament also reshuffled his cabinet by adding two new ministers: Waqas Aslam Rana (YP38‑Punjab19) as Minister for Finance, Planning Affairs and Economics and Hira Batool Rizvi, (YP15‑NWFP03), as Minister for Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs.

The present cabinet thus holds: Mr. Samir Anwar Butt, (YP10‑ICT01), Minister for Foreign Affairs & Defence; Mr. Yawar Hayat Shah (YP22‑Punjab03), Minister for Information; Mr. Zameer Ahmed Malik (YP50‑Sindh02), Minister for Education, Health & Environment; Mr. Muhammad Rafique Wassan, (YP59‑Sindh11), Minister for Law, Parliamentary Affairs & Human Rights including the two new recruits.
Wazir Ahmed Jogezai, Former Speaker of the National Assembly, presided the session while Ms. Donya Aziz, MNA and Engr Khurram Dastgir, MNA are Party Advisors for the Blue Party and the Green Party respectively, for this session.

Youth Parliament is conceived, planned and initiated by Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development And Transparency (PILDAT), which is serving as the Secretariat of the Youth Parliament.
