A few weeks ago, I did some math and figured that if most students of the class of 2010 at FAST NU Islamabad contributed a minimum of Rs. 1000 per year, we could collect a sizable amount that can be put to good use. This money can be used to help our juniors in need in the shape of scholarships.
I shared the idea with Naaimah Saghir and then with Rabail Abbasi, fellow members of the class of 2010 community and dear friends. Instead of just supporting the cause, they stepped in full-time to shape the scholarship. There was no stopping us now.
We shared this idea with Dr. Wasim Ikram, the new Director of FAST NU Islamabad. His response was very encouraging and complete support was promised.
Last but not the least, a much needed kick-start was given to this little project by another class-fellow, Maryam Kausar, with her first, and generous, contribution.
The response has been overwhelming and our spirits are high. Having acquired such wonderful education at one of the best schools in the country was a privilege for all of us and it is time we help others live that dream as well.
I was wondering if you ever thought of changing the layout of your site?
Its very well written; I love what youve got to say.
But maybe you could a little more in the way
of content so people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful
lot of text for only having one or 2 pictures. Maybe
you could space it out better?
